The Lady Helen at Mount Juliet Estate and the Brasserie at the Marker win Best Hotel Restaurant in Leinster and Dublin at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2016
The All-Ireland Irish Restaurant Awards took place on 16th May and named the top restaurants in Ireland for 2016. This is the eighth year of the Irish Restaurant Awards which are the accolades of the Irish restaurant industry. The awards had over 70,000 online nominations which were cast during the year. The Awards recognise achievement and excellence in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry throughout the 32 counties on the Island of Ireland. The Awards are made up of 19 different categories and celebrate all aspects of the Industry from Chefs, Restaurants, Restaurant Managers, Cafes and Gastro Pubs to Food Producers and Cookery Schools.
At the awards ceremony, the Lady Helen Restaurant at Mount Juliet Estate was awarded the Best Hotel Restaurant in Leinster, adding this award to the existing Michelin Star and 3AA Rosettes. This is the 3rd time that the Lady Helen restaurant has won this prestigious award, previously winning in 2013 and 2014.
The Brasserie at the Marker Hotel was also voted the Best Hotel Restaurant in Dublin. The Brasserie at The Marker has also recently been awarded the accolade of two AA rosettes.
